Expressive Arts Sessions

1:1 & Community Support, with Therapeutic Arts

“Art offers sanctuary to everyone willing to open their hearts as well as their eyes”

- Nikki Giovanni

Art as a Therapeutic Ally

Art is a powerful ally in the personal journey towards presence, love, and integration. Art - whether visual, dance/movement, written word, photography, nature-based, or other medium - offers us a way to explore, process, and share that which resides in our sacred center. Creativity is how we unlock and learn to listen & respond to the call of our wise intuition.

Through process-oriented creation, dip your toe into the waters of creation as a therapeutic ally. Let’s work together.

I mean it when I say - no experience necessary. Both those who do and do not (yet) identify as artists are welcome.

Art as Connection

Art fosters our connection with one another.

Are you looking to gather a group together, to support your therapeutic process - or, perhaps for “fun’s sake?”

FAQs

  • I obtained my B.S. in Expressive Arts Therapy & Master’s in Social Work. I have studied with process-oriented painting, authentic movement, and trauma-informed yoga/mindfulness practices. I practice expressive arts facilitation. I do NOT offer expressive arts therapy here.

The difference? My role here is not to diagnose or treat mental illness. Please consult your doctor or a licensed mental health therapist for this type of support.

I am a partner in creating expressive arts directives and processing the emotional content that comes up. I facilitate the impact of the creative experience. My work is informed by my social work practice and understanding of socioemotional impact.

  • This work is focused on the process, not the product. You do not have to know what you are doing - in fact, sometimes the less we know, the better! All are welcome, and I hope that my the end of our time together you will start to build a relationship with the artistic spirit within :)

  • I primarily work with ages 18+ in a 1:1 capacity. However, that being said! I have specialized experience working with children, and am happy to explore a group offering, personalized mailed package for support, or offering with a caregiver present for littles.
